Meet the Doctors

Dr. Kenneth Whitworth

Doctor Whitworth earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences from the University of California, Irvine. He then pursued a professional baseball career for 2 years. After injury ended his baseball career, he returned to dental school where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. He graduated with Cum Laude honors from the University of California, Los Angeles Dental School. While at UCLA, Dr. Whitworth received the Honorary Omicron Kappa Upsilon award, given to the top 5 students in the class. He then received his Doctor of Medicine Degree from Harvard University Medical School. He completed an internship and a two-year residency in General Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He also completed an additional two years of Oral & Maxillofacial residency at Beth Israel/Deaconess, Brigham & Women’s’, Massachusetts General, and Children’s Hospitals in Boston. During that time, Dr. Whitworth received extensive training in all facets of oral surgery. A special area of interest has been in the preparation and placement of over a thousand dental implants.

Dr. Justin Messina

Dr. Justin Messina, D.M.D., M.D. is a board certified, dual-degree oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He earned his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, graduating number one in his class, serving as President of the prestigious Matthew Cryer Honor Society, and gaining membership into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society upon his graduation. He then pursued six-years of training at the Harvard Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program, earning his medical degree from Harvard Medical School.

I can not say enough amazing this about Dr Whitworth and his entire staff!! I had to have an implant done. I was in a car accident back in september and recieved 2 major surgeries. I have barely been walking for 6 weeks. Going in for another surgery was daunting to say the least! This office was so incredibly accomodating and friendly! From the very first visit I felt well taken care of. The consult was very informative. I had all questions answered. Preop and post op instructions were incredibly thorough! The environment of the surgical suite was incredibly relaxing.

Dr. Whitworth and his team made my wisdom teeth procedure so smooth and stress-free. I have really bad anxiety, I was terrified to have extractions under general anesthesia done. His team made me feel so welcomed and cared for from consultation to post-op. Not only did they ease my nerves for the procedure, but they did amazing work extracting my 4 wisdom teeth! I am 1 week post op now & seem to be healing exceptionally well!

His front desk staff worked with my schedule and were able to see me right away to address need to remove a tooth that was creating some bone loss. During my consultation appointment, Dr. Whitworth explained the procedure, discussed my options on whether to have my tooth removed under anesthesia or local, answered my questions, and then even looked at the X-ray with me to further explain the procedure.
